Buddy Carter Introduces Bill to Acquire Greenland, Rename It ‘Red, White, and Blueland’
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Buddy Carter (R-GA) made waves today by introducing a bold new bill that would authorize President Trump to negotiate the acquisition of Greenland—and give it a patriotic rebrand as Red, White, and Blueland.
“America is on the rise, and soon we’ll be bigger than ever,” Carter said. “President Trump has rightly recognized the strategic importance of Greenland, and when this historic deal is signed, we’ll proudly welcome its people into the freest nation on Earth.”
The Red, White, and Blueland Act of 2025 would grant the President the authority to negotiate with Denmark for the purchase of Greenland. If successful, the legislation mandates that all official U.S. documents, maps, and records be updated to reflect the new name. Federal agencies would have six months to make the switch.
Carter’s proposal is sure to spark debate, but one thing’s for sure—this is a move that aims to put an even bigger stamp of red, white, and blue on the world map.
